Refund & Cancellation Policy
Honest, simple, written in plain English. No surprises, no hidden penalties.
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for clients of Nexus Digital Scaling. It applies to retainer engagements and project-based work.
1. Our model in plain English
All Nexus retainer engagements are month-to-month. There are no annual contracts, no setup fees, and no exit penalties. You pay for the month ahead. If we don't deserve the next month, you don't pay it.
2. Cancellation by you
You may cancel an active retainer at any time with 14 days' written notice sent to info@nexusdigitalscaling.com. The notice period gives both teams time to handover credentials, documentation, and in-flight work.
If you cancel mid-month, you remain responsible for the current month's retainer but are not charged for the following month.
3. Refunds for retainers
- Within first 14 days: If we have not yet started production work (audit complete, kickoff held, deliverables not yet shipped), you may request a full refund of the first month's retainer minus any third-party costs already incurred.
- After 14 days: Refunds are not standard. Cancellation as per Section 2 applies going forward.
4. Project-based work
For one-off projects, payment terms and refund eligibility are set in the Statement of Work signed before kickoff. Typical terms are 50% upfront / 50% on delivery, with refunds limited to the unbilled portion if cancelled mid-project.
5. Third-party costs
Some engagements include pass-through costs (creator fees, software subscriptions, ad platform spend, photography, etc.). These are billed at cost with no markup and are non-refundable once committed to the third party.
6. Refund process
Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days to the original payment method. Bank transfer fees, where applicable, are deducted from the refund amount.
7. Disputes
If you have a billing or refund question, email info@nexusdigitalscaling.com. We aim to resolve every dispute within 5 business days.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect any change. Material changes will be communicated to active clients in advance.
